As the book launch date gets closer, I have officially shifted into promotion mode and started sharing the story out in the world. One of the very first podcasts I recorded for The Dangerous Shore was with a longtime friend, Paul Loeffler, host of Hometown Heroes Radio.

Paul has an incredible history of meeting and interviewing veterans from all over the country. I am, without question, jealous of the stories he has heard straight from the people who lived them firsthand. That depth of experience is exactly why I felt so honored when he invited me onto his show, and it is also why the conversation flowed so naturally. Paul does not just know what questions to ask, he knows how to ask them.

I think you will really enjoy this one. We talk about the storytelling process, the ups and downs of writing history, a few eye-opening moments that came from working with some particularly sensitive source materials, and of course the story itself and why it mattered to tell it.
